Last Day of Observation (Feb.26,2010)

So, this is my last day of observation in Villahermosa Elementary School. I though pupils were so busy reviewing for their quizzes, but as what I've observed people at Villahermosa were so busy preparing for a big event...SEARCH FOR KING AND QUEEN OF HEARTS 2010! My cooperating teacher was not busy that time so I used her vacant time to comply and to answer some questions in my FS worksheet. With her cooperation, I got the information that may help to answer my project. I also chose Florante Valencia Jr. as my subject in Activity no.11(Introduction to SPED). That child stroked my attention most. I will miss my cooperating teacher and her class so much...

2nd day of observation(Feb.8,2010)

This day is the final demonstration of the interns in Villahermosa Elementary School. Because don't have enough time to observe actual teacher's strategies delivering their lesson to the class, our professors allowed us to observe the interns instead the real teachers. And I very much like that idea because because at least aside from the fact that I can now answer my FS worksheet, and observe how the learners interact with the lesson, I may now able to see how does a PNUan conduct his/her demonstration.
So, I was assigned to observe the final demonstration of BEED Intern-Ms.Richiel Capistano. I expected that she could come earlier because she needs to prepare the room, students and instructional materials as well. But what I've observed, even though she came not too late, as a teacher, we must observe punctuality specially if we have to prepare many things before the class session started.
As soon as she arrived, I immediately offered my help in fixing her materials. I am so impressed to the effort that the teacher exerted to her visual materials-colorful, attractive, but I'm pretty sure that those are very costly. In short, even though she only used low tech materials as her visual, I can say that those were very beautiful and easy to handle.
On her demonstration, I can say that she met all her objectives except the last objective which is writing the correct spelling of words with ie/ei; ea/ee sounds through listening and speaking because she forgot to motivate the allotted time for her. Anyway, the sequence of new lesson introduced very well. She used indirect approach because it was not a teacher-centered discussion, whereby the teacher only served as the facilitator of the learning. The interaction between the teacher and the learners was very active because of her art in questioning.

First Observation:February 5(Friday,7:30am-11:30am)

Waiting for Mrs.Melanie Adan, principal of Villahermosa Elementary School, is finally ended after a couple of weeks. Like the previous observation that we had in the said school, we were overwhelm welcomed by the principal, teachers and students as their observer. We are so lucky because even though Villahermosa is small public school here in Lopez, so far, we didn't received any big negative feed backs from the observation that we had last semester. Unlike other big public elem.schools in town which very demanding and very perfectionist on their interns and observers.
But,anyway...Before we proceed to our respective grade level of class observed, together with other sections(BEED-II B and C), we were oriented first by the principal. We heard a bad news that will affects our observation. First, according to Ma'am Adan, the months of January to March are the periods which the pupils undergo different tests such as NAT, DAT, RAT, etc. And connection with that, teachers are almost through discussing their lessons and busy reviewing and preparing their learners on that evaluations. So, as observer, we may not able to see the actual teaching-learning process in the classroom on that kind of set-up, which is the subject of our field study. Second, Friday is the only day which our group and the rest of sophomore students are abailable to conduct observation. It is because we don't have any vacant period from Monday to Thursday to observe. Again misfortune for us because pupils are having their weekly test all-over the different subjects every Friday. So how can we observe the different teaching theories and approaches, instructional materials that the teacher used in teaching his/her pupils?...I don't think so...
After we had oriented, we immediate proceed to our

MY LOVE IS HERE

Words nothing but words
For me to show
How much my love for you unfolds
Through trouble and fears
This love feels so real
And I need you to know

Even though we're far apart
You're right beside me in my heart

Chorus:
Don't you know my love is here?
Don't you know my love is real?
You should know by now
This much is true
My love is here for you

Time, nothing but time
To make up your mind
I'll give you all that you need
I want you to know
I'll never let go
'Til you come back to me

Even though you're far away
I'm right beside you day by day

Chorus:
Don't you know my love is here?
Don't you know my love is real?
You should know by now
This much is true
My love is here for you

Even though we're far apart
You're right beside me in my heart

Don't you know my love is here?
Don't you know my love is real for you?
You should know by now
This much is true
My love is here for you

Someone hanging in my ID…

Last August 2009, someone gave me a small and cute key chain simply maybe as a token of appreciation for just being me. "I THOUGHT OF YOU WHEN I SAW THIS!..", can make me feel on the top of the world...wweeehHh... But this special gift has a great investment in our relationship. Each time I see that item hanging in my ID, it serves as a reminder not only that he cares or I care but also that i know and appreciate peko's uniqueness....SANA LANG HINDI MAWALA SINA PEKO AT POKO!

"Friendliness is contagious-start an epidemic."

I met someone for the first time and been impressed by the way he greeted me with a warm smile, an enthusiastic "hello!" It sounds interesting when little special attention like that can make me feel how important I am. Habang tumatakbo ang oras, I started to know him deeper.
He is a good listener who not only hears but also keeps confidences. One of the primary benefits of having my SF is giving me the freedom to share my deepest thoughts. Sometimes I need to call him for so many helps and sometimes he has to call on me...He encourages and comfort me " kahit hindi niya alam na nagagawa na niya yon."
SANA LAGING GANUN...
