Waiting for Mrs.Melanie Adan, principal of Villahermosa Elementary School, is finally ended after a couple of weeks. Like the previous observation that we had in the said school, we were overwhelm welcomed by the principal, teachers and students as their observer. We are so lucky because even though Villahermosa is small public school here in Lopez, so far, we didn't received any big negative feed backs from the observation that we had last semester. Unlike other big public elem.schools in town which very demanding and very perfectionist on their interns and observers.
But,anyway...Before we proceed to our respective grade level of class observed, together with other sections(BEED-II B and C), we were oriented first by the principal. We heard a bad news that will affects our observation. First, according to Ma'am Adan, the months of January to March are the periods which the pupils undergo different tests such as NAT, DAT, RAT, etc. And connection with that, teachers are almost through discussing their lessons and busy reviewing and preparing their learners on that evaluations. So, as observer, we may not able to see the actual teaching-learning process in the classroom on that kind of set-up, which is the subject of our field study. Second, Friday is the only day which our group and the rest of sophomore students are abailable to conduct observation. It is because we don't have any vacant period from Monday to Thursday to observe. Again misfortune for us because pupils are having their weekly test all-over the different subjects every Friday. So how can we observe the different teaching theories and approaches, instructional materials that the teacher used in teaching his/her pupils?...I don't think so...
After we had oriented, we immediate proceed to our
